Poland will not interfere in the issue of return of Ukrainian refugees home - Ambassador

The Republic of Poland will remain neutral on the issue of the return of Ukrainian refugees to Ukraine. The country's authorities do not plan to encourage them to return or prevent them from doing so. This was stated by Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Jarosław Guzy in an interview with DW.

"Poland will remain absolutely neutral to this problem. That is, it will neither encourage nor impede. This is a matter of decision for Ukrainian citizens staying in Poland. They will decide whether to return or not," Guzy said.

The diplomat noted that Poland is interested in Ukrainians, who are very important in terms of the Polish labor market.

"I mean the labor shortage. I can imagine a situation when an employer, for example, who employs Ukrainians, convinces them to stay because it will be difficult for him to find a replacement. But these are not things to which the Polish authorities will react in any way," Guzy added.
