Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine have published the approximate flight time of the Zircon missile that was used by Russians to hit Kyiv the day before.
"The average speed of the missile is 9000 km/h. Often more," the Defense Forces noted.
They added that the approach time of the Zircon to Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv is up to 1 minute; Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro - up to 2.5 minutes; Kropyvnytskyi - up to 3 minutes.
It should be noted that the Zircon is positioned as a hypersonic cruise missile with an air-rocket engine that can maneuver. It is designed to destroy large ships and ground objects. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Zircon has a flight range of more than 1,000 kilometers and can reach speeds of up to Mach 9 (3 km/s). It flies at an altitude of 30-40 kilometers.
