Night attack by drones: a hit on an energy facility is recorded

On the night of April 2, Russians attacked Ukraine with drones. A hit to an energy facility in the Kirovohrad region was recorded.


The Air Force of the south of Ukraine reported that the enemy attacked the energy infrastructure of Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions at night.


"At night, the enemy once again sent kamikaze drones of the Shahed-131/136 type from the south. This time, the enemy targeted the energy infrastructure of Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions," the statement said.


The head of the Dnipropetrovsk RMA Serhiy Lysak said that a fire station in Dnipro was damaged by the Shahed attack.


"Two fires started in the regional center due to falling debris, which were promptly extinguished. A two-story building and a fire station were damaged," said Lysak.

According to Lysak, drones also hit a power line in Kryvyi Rih.


"As a result of the evening attack on Kryvyi Rih, windows in three nine-story buildings were smashed. A car was damaged. A high-voltage power line was hit," Lysak wrote.


A woman was injured in the attack. She was treated by medics.


"The injured woman was provided with the necessary medical care. She will be treated at home," Lysak said.


The head of Kirovohrad RMA Andriy Raykovych said that Russian troops damaged an energy infrastructure facility in the region. As a result, a fire broke out.


"During another enemy drone attack in Kirovohrad region, an energy facility was damaged. The fire was quickly localized. No information on casualties has been received so far," Raykovych said.


Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine confirmed the damage to the energy facility


"An energy infrastructure facility was damaged during the attack in Kirovograd region. A fire broke out and was quickly extinguished by firefighters. No people were injured. The consequences of the damage are being clarified," - the statement said.
