Latvia will send a batch of drones to Ukraine for 1 million euros

In the near future, Latvia will send the first batch of drones to Ukraine as part of the drone coalition. The cost of the delivery is 1 million euros. This was announced by Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Latvia has also already provided a new military aid package this month.

"The drones have already been tested. Our colleagues have already recognized them as suitable for combat operations and meeting all the requirements," she said.

The aid package that Latvia is preparing for Ukraine will include ammunition and other weapons, as well as material and technical items. The Latvian prime minister also reminded of Latvia's contribution to the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine, which will amount to 10 million euros.
