On the night of April 5, Russian troops attacked Ukraine again, using both drones and missiles. The attack took place from the south, and the UAVs came in waves, trying to hit energy facilities. This was ">reported by the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine.


"At night, the enemy attacked with several waves of attack drones from the south," the statement said.


The first wave was aimed at Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. During more than two hours of combat work, 9 drones were shot down - 2 in Dnipropetrovsk region and 7 in Zaporizhzhia region.


In the second wave, Russians attacked Odesa region, targeting the energy infrastructure.


"Within half an hour of combat work, all 4 drones were shot down," the statement said.


The Shahed-131/136 drones entered from the temporarily occupied Crimea both through the temporarily occupied left-bank Kherson region and from the Black Sea.


"The enemy is once again laying routes through residential areas of peaceful settlements, as a result of which the debris of the downed drones caused damage to several private houses and outbuildings in Zaporizhzhia district. No people were injured," the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine added, specifying that 13 drones were shot down in this operational area.
