Fines from 17 to 22.5 thousand hryvnias for violation of mobilization accounting: new proposals of the Verkhovna Rada Committee

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement has approved the amount of fines for violation of the rules of military registration and legislation on defense and mobilization. This was announced by a member of the Committee, MP Maksym Buzhanskyi.

These norms are stipulated in the relevant draft law No. 10379 on amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code to increase responsibility for military offenses.

According to Buzhanskyi, the Law Enforcement Committee recommends adopting the following norms:

  • for violation of the rules of military registration - a fine of 3,400 to 5,100 hryvnias, repeatedly or during a special period - from 17,000 to 22,500 hryvnias;
  • for violation of the legislation on defense and mobilization (Article 210-1) in peacetime - a fine of 5100 to 8500 UAH for citizens and 17,000 to 34,000 UAH for officials and legal entities, in wartime - a fine of 17,000 to 22,500 UAH for citizens and 34,000 to 59,500 UAH for officials and legal entities.

At the same time, the MP emphasized that there will be no administrative arrest for three days. Also, according to him, there will be no prison terms, including 5 years, as previously reported.

Buzhanskyi noted that the draft law is recommended to be adopted as a basis and as a whole. But, according to him, this is a technical decision, there will be amendments and a second reading.

The MP also said that a separate provision excluded the liability of citizens for failing to provide the TCC with the data it automatically receives from the registers. In other words, you need to provide your real address, phone number and email address.

It should be noted that the version introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers proposed to consider refusal to undergo a medical examination as draft evasion and to punish it with imprisonment for up to 5 years. The Ministry of Defense proposed to increase the fines for failure to appear at the TCC under the summons to UAH 204 thousand.
