Without additional US aid, Russia will outnumber Ukraine in artillery by 10 to 1 in a few weeks. This was stated by the commander of NATO forces in Europe, Christopher Cavoli, during a speech in Congress, The Washington Post reports.

According to the military, in the absence of new support from the United States, Ukraine will be left without artillery shells and air defense ammunition.

"The severity of this moment cannot be overestimated. The side that cannot fire back will lose. The stakes are very high," the general said.

He warned Congress to provide more assistance to Ukraine "if there is a desire to stop Russia's advance on the battlefield."

"Russia shows no signs of stopping and has no intention of stopping in Ukraine. Russia poses a chronic threat," Cavoli emphasized.
