Mobile operators have developed an action plan in case of blackout in Kharkiv

Mobile operators have a joint action plan in case of blackout in Kharkiv. This was announced by Vodafone Ukraine CEO Olha Ustinova.

"For every big city, small... we have a joint plan with all our colleagues in case of a complete blackout. We have divided Kharkiv into three parts... each one provides diesel to its own sites. National roaming allows us to switch if necessary (using all the base stations of Ukrainian operators in the region). That is, we are now in touch," Ustinova said.

She clarified that as of 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 88% of Vodafone Ukraine's base stations are available in Kharkiv.

"The situation is better now. Every day we see that power is being restored in Kharkiv. It was 70%, now 88% (of base stations are online)," Ustinova said, adding that the load on mobile operators in Kharkiv has increased significantly due to the growing use of mobile internet in areas where there is no fixed internet.
