Slovaks collected over €3 million for ammunition for Ukraine in six days

Citizens of Slovakia have voluntarily donated more than 3 million euros to a Czech initiative, within the framework of which shells are purchased for the Ukrainian military. This was reported on the fundraising website.

The collection was opened only on Tuesday, April 16. As of today, 3,098,574 million euros have been collected. A total of 50,162 people have donated money.

On the website, the organizers of the fundraiser note that the Slovak government has refused to participate in the Czech initiative on ammunition for Ukraine.

"It will be a pity if this remains so. We do not want to accept the refusal to help our neighbor in the war. Let's show that they are not the only ones making such a decision. We are convinced that the government's position does not reflect the opinion of the majority of citizens. We are sure that we, the people of Slovakia, want and can help," the organizers emphasized.

They promised to help Ukraine despite the "pro-Russian government of Slovakia."
