Britain will announce the largest military aid package to Ukraine today, worth $617 million

During his visit to Poland, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will announce the largest package of military aid to Ukraine. This is stated in the press service of the British government.


According to the report, it is expected that during his trip to Poland on Tuesday, April 23, Sunak will announce an increase in aid to Ukraine by 500 million pounds and the largest batch of military aid, which will include:

  • 60 boats, including maritime raiding vessels and diving boats, as well as naval guns;
  • more than 1,600 combat and air defense missiles, as well as additional long-range precision-guided missiles Storm Shadow;
  • more than 400 vehicles, including 160 Husky protected vehicles, 162 armored vehicles and 78 off-road vehicles;
  • almost four million rounds of ammunition for small arms.

 

"This record-breaking military aid package will give President Zelensky and his brave nation more of the means they need to drive out Putin and restore peace and stability in Europe," the press service quoted British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps as saying.


In Poland, Sunak will meet with Prime Minister Tusk, NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg, and German Chancellor Scholz.
