There are no significant Russian army units on the territory of Belarus, - SBGS spokesman

There are no significant units of the Russian army on the territory of Belarus, and the Ukrainian military monitors the situation on the border. This was stated by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko.

Demchenko emphasized that the Russians do not have enough forces to launch a new full-scale offensive.

“It may be a distraction maneuver so that we keep the necessary number of forces near the border and do not transfer our forces to the front line, where full-scale hostilities are taking place,” the speaker said.

According to him, the Russian Federation is constantly shelling the border regions and regularly uses sabotage and reconnaissance groups to probe the Ukrainian border in Sumy region. In addition, Russian saboteurs are active in Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions.
