The United States plans to replace every Bradley that has been transferred to Ukraine with a new modification of this infantry fighting vehicle. This new version will be equipped with an active defense system, the Ground Combat Systems Program Executive Office reports on Facebook.
According to the executive office, the US Army has received funding to purchase a new version of the Bradley, the M2A4E1, for each IFV that was transferred to Ukraine.
The M2A4E1 Bradley was unveiled last week in Maine.
It is noted that the M2A4E1 is the most modern and survivable version of the Bradley due to the introduction of the Iron Fist active defense system. In addition, this version of the IFV has an improved gunner's sight and climate control for the troops.
