Russian army prepares for new massive shelling of Ukrainian energy sector, - speaker of the AFU

The Russian army is preparing to conduct a new massive shelling of the Ukrainian energy sector. This was stated by Illia Yevlash, spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, during a telethon.

“Most likely, the enemy is planning and preparing for further attacks. We cannot know for sure their strategic plan. However, it is most likely that the enemy is now analyzing the results it has inflicted on our energy sector in recent months,” the Air Force spokesman said.

The Russians probably believe that they were able to achieve certain goals during the past strikes. However, in order to carry out attacks with greater frequency, they need to accumulate their missiles.

“It (the enemy) cannot use everything at zero. In particular, there must be some strategic reserve. That's why we are seeing such a lull now. Before that, we saw some non-use of Shahed drones,” he said.

The Air Force believes that the Russian military has become more active again.

“However, the use of KABs remains a serious problem,” emphasized Yevlash.
