The Ukrainian Armed Forces have partially pushed the Russians out of Vovchansk, Kharkiv region. Defensive actions continue on the outskirts of the city. This is stated in the report of the General Staff.
“The defense forces repelled the offensive of the Russian occupiers in the area of Vovchansk, partially drove the enemy forces out of the settlement, and defensive actions continue in the northern and northwestern outskirts. The data on enemy losses are being clarified,” the General Staff said in a statement.
It is worth noting that earlier the Ukrainian analytical military public Deep State reported that Russian forces were entrenched in the northern part of the city and approaching it from the west.
In addition, the chief patrol officer of the Vovchansk police department, Oleksiy Kharkivsky, posted a video in the afternoon showing an intense firefight. The police said that “the Russian army is taking positions on the streets of Vovchansk” and the situation is “extremely difficult.”
“Active fighting continues. We are evacuating people, helping everyone. The situation in Vovchansk is extremely difficult. The enemy is holding positions on the streets. So, people, please evacuate. We are helping everyone,” the police officer emphasized.
