Daytime electricity consumption restrictions have been canceled in all regions of Ukraine

In Ukraine, restrictions on consumption have been canceled in all regions that were scheduled from 07:00 to 20:00. Due to sunny weather, the deficit in the power system has decreased, Ukrenergo reports.


However, in the evening, from 20:00 to 24:00, schedules of hourly blackouts for industrial and residential consumers will be in effect in all regions of the country.


According to Ukrenergo, yesterday, May 21, to overcome the deficit in the power system, from 00:00 to 07:00 and from 23:00 to 24:00, emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine from the power systems of Romania, Poland, and Slovakia were activated. Also, from 11:00 to 15:00, Ukraine received surplus electricity from Poland. In addition, at night, from 00:00 to 01:00, emergency assistance from European countries was used again.


During the day, Ukraine imported a total of 15,861 MWh of electricity, with a maximum capacity of up to 1,492 MW in some hours.


Also, according to Ukrenergo, at night, Russian UAVs attacked power facilities in the east, which resulted in a power outage for more than 518,000 consumers in Sumy region, as well as consumers in certain areas of Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions. As of this morning, 95% of consumers cut off from power supply due to the attack have been reconnected.


In total, 425 settlements in the country are without electricity due to hostilities.
