Russian troops captured 60% of the city of Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region. This was reported by Bild military analyst Julian Röpke.

“The situation in Krasnohorivka is extremely difficult for the Ukrainian army. Russian invasion forces captured the city center and replenished their troops with tanks and armored personnel carriers. They now control about 60% of the city,” the analyst writes.

The city of Krasnohorivka, home to 15,000 people before the war, is located 20 kilometers west of Donetsk near the village of Staromykhailivka. Russian troops entered the city in early April, and since then, street fighting has been going on in the settlement. The Russian Armed Forces regularly bring reinforcements to the city.

According to him, on another part of the front in Donetsk region, the Russian Armed Forces captured the village of Umanske west of Avdiivka, which was fought for 1.5 months. Röpke believes that on the border of Kharkiv and Luhansk regions, Russians captured the villages of Ivanivka and Kyslivka.

The latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not mention the situation in the area of Krasnohorivka and in the Donetsk direction in general, but noted that “the situation has not changed significantly in other areas.”
