New data on the tragedy in Kharkiv: 14 victims have been identified, including a minor (UPDATED)

A total of 14 people have been identified in Kharkiv who died on May 25 as a result of the Epicenter incident, including a 17-year-old boy whose body was found on the morning of May 27. This was reported by the head of the Investigation Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region, Serhiy Bolvinov, on his Facebook page.

 

 

Bolvinov said that twelve victims were identified through DNA testing, and two more were identified almost instantly on the spot.


The search operation is still ongoing, and identification continues. 


According to Bolvinov, there are two minors among the dead. 


It was also reported that the body found in the morning belonged to 17-year-old Kyrylo, who lived in Kharkiv and, like many other citizens, visited the hypermarket. 


The identification was made through DNA analysis, the samples of which were provided by the victim's mother. 


According to Bolvinov, on May 27, the remains of another victim, who was probably an employee of the hypermarket, were also found.


Earlier, we reported that at least 20 people were at the epicenter of the explosion when the construction hypermarket in Kharkiv was hit.
