Ukrainian prisoners in assault units: details from the Ministry of Justice

The convicts who voluntarily agreed to mobilize will serve in assault units. This was announced by Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska during a telethon on Monday, May 27.

According to him, this currently applies to assault units consisting mainly of people who have already served their sentences. These units are formed separately from other military units.

Malyuska also noted that so far the mobilized convicts are not participating in hostilities, but are only undergoing training.

At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Justice does not rule out the possibility that in the future convicts may be mixed with ordinary soldiers.
