Putin on the possible granting of Ukraine the right to strike at Russian territory with Western weapons: NATO countries should realize what they are playing with

Russian President Vladimir Putin has commented on the possible granting of Ukraine the right to strike at Russian territory with Western weapons.

“Representatives of NATO countries, especially in Europe, especially in small countries, should realize what they are playing with. They should remember that these are usually states with small territories and very dense populations,” Putin said.

As a reminder, granting Ukraine such a permit was supported, in particular, by the Baltic States and Eastern Europe. NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg also spoke in favor of this. Germany and Italy were against it.

Putin also expressed doubts that in the event of a military clash between European countries and Russia, the United States would come to the aid of its NATO allies.

“Continuous escalation can lead to serious consequences. If these serious consequences occur in Europe, how will the United States behave, given our parity in the field of strategic weapons? It's hard to say. Do they want a global conflict? I think they wanted to negotiate in the field of strategic weapons.”

In addition, he claims that “all events on the approaches to Kharkiv were provoked by NATO countries.”
