Defense Ministry spokesperson Dmytro Lazutkin said that Ukrainians who are liable for military service abroad and have updated their accounts in Reserve+ should return to Ukraine and come to the TCC in person if the app shows a “wanted” status. He said this during the telethon.
“If a person has violated the rules of military registration, for example, deregistered in one place, did not register in another, or did not register at all, left when he was under 17, and now the time has come. There are a number of reasons for this, but you need to contact the TCC first,” the speaker explained.
However, Lazutkin noted that the Ministry of Defense objectively understands that a small percentage of Ukrainians abroad can be involved in mobilization processes, and not all of them plan to return to Ukraine.
“Let me remind you that Ukrainians abroad are still our citizens, and the law applies to them. Young men who have turned 17 must register for military service. This is a requirement, and it applies to those who are abroad. If these people plan to continue to be citizens of Ukraine and associate their future with our country, they should do so. They need to register with the TCC,” summarized Dmytro Lazutkin.
