The mother of a Crimean prisoner in Russia Abdullayev said that he was sent back to the punishment cell

Employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia again sent to the punitive detention facility a figure in the Crimean «case of Hizb ut-Tahrir», the Crimean Teymur Abdullayev, who is held in the Russian colony in Bashkortostan. His mother Dilyara Abdullayeva announced this on her Facebook page on October 24.

.

According to her, Teymur is being held in a punitive detention facility for the third day since he was released from there exactly one week ago. She stressed that, given the time when the convict was held in particularly harsh conditions, he spent more than a year and a half in a punishment cell, including about two months under special conditions.

«Is it worth reminding what a basement, that is a punishment cell, if it is known that SDC (special detention conditions) is a form of psychological and regime influence on the prisoner, it is 'sleeplessness torture', where there are always 50 people in a cell for 12 places, and you can sleep only during the off hours, you do not need to be Einstein to count how many minutes they sleep a day and sleep at all?» - Abdullayeva wrote.

On September 27, it was reported that Teymur Abdullayev was sent to a punishment cell in the Russian penal colony № 2 in Salavat for the third time in a month.

Teymur Abdullayev was held in a punitive isolator for over a year for allegedly «systematic violation of the regime of detention», as stated in the administration of the colony. At the beginning of June 2021 he was still released from the punishment cell thanks to the efforts of his lawyers and relatives.

On March 16, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine launched criminal proceedings for violation of laws and customs of war by representatives of the authorities on the territory of the aggressor country through keeping Abdullayev in a punitive confinement cell.

Recall, the Southern District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don sentenced the defendants in the Simferopol «case of Hizb ut-Tahrir» in June 2019. Later, the Supreme Court of Russia changed the sentence of the Crimeans.
