In Ukraine, a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 has already been passed by more than 40% of adult citizens. In January 2022 the list of goods and services that can be purchased for 1 thousand UAH provided by the state for each Ukrainian citizen who has received a full course of vaccinations will be expanded. This was discussed at a conference call under the chairmanship of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the press service of the head of state.

"From December 19, fully vaccinated Ukrainians will receive one thousand hryvnias. They will be able to spend these funds on the areas most affected by the pandemic - to sign up at the gym, go to the cinema, museum or concert, buy a train or plane ticket, buy books. At the same time, listening to the wishes of our citizens of advanced age, for whom it is important to maintain health, in particular during a pandemic, we have decided to add drugs to the list of available goods," said Vladimir Zelenski.

The head of state expressed his belief that such a step would increase the number of vaccinations against COVID-19 among the elderly, as well as promote the treatment and prevention of other diseases.

Currently, the Ministry of Digital Transformation is finalizing the technical capabilities to make the purchase of drugs for the money provided for vaccination available from January next year.

In general, according to Health Minister Viktor Lyashko, today Ukraine has passed the target of 40% of vaccinated adults: of 14.1 million citizens 12 million received two vaccinations against coronavirus.

However, Viktor Lyashko noted that in the last two weeks there has been a decrease in the rate of vaccination.

Prime Minister Denis Shmygal reminded that as of December 7, nine regions exited the "red" zone, and now Vinnitsa region meets the criteria for exiting the zone, so the issue of its transfer to the "yellow" zone will be considered.

Also, to minimize risks for COVID-19 patients among citizens aged 60 and older, the standards of medical care for coronavirus disease were amended and indications for hospitalization of this category of patients were expanded.

It should be noted that almost one and a half million people signed up to participate in the pilot program "eSupport" to pay 1,000 hryvnias to vaccinated Ukrainians. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Medicine.
