Access to the social network Instagram is banned in Russia because of calls to commit violent acts. This was reported by Roskomnadzor.

Based on the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, access to the social network Instagram (owned by Meta Platforms, Inc.) on the territory of the Russian Federation will be restricted.

"Information materials containing calls to commit violent acts against citizens of the Russian Federation, including servicemen, are distributed in the social network Instagram", - as stated in the message of Roskomnadzor.
