There will be sanctions even without recognizing Russia as a sponsor of terrorism - Macron

The Russian strike on the trade center in Kremenchug is a "war crime" and France will continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary. French President Emmanuel Macron said this at a press conference after the G7 leaders' summit in Germany, Le Figaro writes.

"Russia cannot and must not win, and therefore our support for Ukraine and our sanctions against Russia will continue as long as necessary and with the necessary intensity in the coming weeks and months," Macron said.

Macron said he does not accept qualifications against Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.

"We do not need any qualifications to impose these sanctions against Moscow," he said.
