Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausseda arrived in Kyiv on 28 July. During his visit, he will hold a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and address the Verkhovna Rada.

This was reported by Twitter of the Lithuanian leader.

"Just arrived in Kyiv. On this special day, when Ukraine celebrates Statehood Day for the first time, I will address the Ukrainian people from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada," said Nauseda.

He also announced that he will hold a meeting with President Zelensky and will present him the highest state award of Lithuania - the Order of Vitovt Great.

Recall that the last time Nauseda was in Kyiv was in April. Then he arrived in the Ukrainian capital together with the presidents of Poland, Latvia and Estonia.

For his part, the Lithuanian head recently called for tougher sanctions against Russia. According to him, the restrictions should have a stronger impact on the Russian economy, financial sector and military-industrial potential.
