Rada will consider the bills on the "candidate" requirements of the EU in the near future - Stefanchuk

The Verkhovna Rada plans in the near future to include in its consideration plan bills on the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission on granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership. About this said the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk, writes UP.

"Parliament is involved in the implementation of six of the seven requirements that Ukraine received from the European Commission and the European Council on the EU candidate status. The seven requirements are a separate track," Stefanchuk said.

"It concerns both the law on the Constitutional Court (introduction of elective positions), and the appointment of members of the High Council of Justice by the Parliament, and the question about deoligarchization and financial monitoring, and the question about national societies. In the near future we will put them in the order of consideration by the Ukrainian Parliament," the speaker added.

At the same time, he noted that the implementation of the obligations of Ukraine to adapt national legislation to the European Union legislation is a separate "track" that the VR is working on.

According to him, the Verkhovna Rada currently has 49 bills aimed at European integration.
