The UN General Assembly will meet to discuss the annexation of Ukrainian territories by the Russian Federation

The UN General Assembly convened an urgent meeting next Monday to discuss Russia's announced annexation of four partially occupied regions of Ukraine.

This was stated by the press secretary of the General Assembly, Paulina Kubiak, AFP reported.

The meeting of the 193 member states of the United Nations will discuss a resolution on the annexation, which is now being prepared after Russia vetoed the condemnation in the UN Security Council last week, diplomatic sources said on Tuesday.

The General Assembly will meet at the request of Ukraine and Albania on this issue at 22:00 Kyiv time.
