Morawiecki: the summit in Prague confirmed the complete isolation of Russia

The summit of the European Political Community in Prague confirmed that Russia is in complete isolation, and not only from the EU countries.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said this on Thursday in Prague, PAP reports.

The summit of the European Political Community (EPC) was held in Prague on Thursday, which was attended by the leaders of 44 European countries.

At the evening press conference, Morawiecki noted that being strong not only economically, but also as a security donor to the EU is one of the goals of all those who wish the European Union the best. "We want and have always wanted the EU to be not only a breeding ground for new technologies, an economic space that belongs to all member states, but also to build a security space on its borders," he said.

He emphasized that in Prague the EU leaders met with the leaders of the countries seeking to join the EU or cooperate with it, as well as with other important leaders. Morawiecki noted that he spoke, in particular, with British Prime Minister Liz Truss, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gar Stre.

"The main theme that I raised in all my conversations and which resonated very clearly in all these discussions that took place today and in which I participated - is the isolation of Russia as an aggressive, dictatorial, de facto increasingly totalitarian state." - said the Polish Prime Minister.

"This summit confirmed that Russia is in complete isolation and not only from EU countries, but also from other countries that sometimes directly border Russia. And they all condemn Russia's aggression," Morawiecki emphasized.

He added that among European countries there is also an attempt to discuss issues related to the gas and energy crisis. "And here we also agreed - the energy crisis contributes to Russian imperialism, but it also contributes to market speculation," Morawiecki said.
