Investigators of the Security Service have gathered evidence regarding the commission of crimes against the foundations of Ukraine's national security by Dmytro Tabachnyk, the former Minister of Education and Science during Yanukovych's time, the SSU reported.

 The special service noted that this person has been hiding from Ukrainian justice in the temporarily occupied Crimea since 2014.

 "It has been established that the ex-regional officer actively "consults" the heads of the Russian occupation administrations of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions after the large-scale invasion of Russia," the SSU reported.

 The SBU reportedly has evidence of its close cooperation with enemy special services, among other things, "report notes" with detailed reports on "performed tasks" were discovered.

 "Among other things, it refers to the draft report prepared by Tabachnyk for the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Marat Khusnullin. In it, on behalf of the Gauleiter of the temporarily occupied Kherson Oblast and Zaporizhzhya, he asks the Rashists to provide round-the-clock armed protection of the "polling stations" during the period of the illegal referendum. It is also documented, that on his direct instructions "polling stations" were organized in educational and medical institutions of the region," the SSU said.

 On November 22, it became known that the SSU notified the former Minister of Education Dmytro Tabachnyk of suspicion of treason.
