The soldiers who killed the policeman had accomplices: one of them was detained

Vasylaka, who shot police officers in Vinnytsia region, was helped to hide from security forces by two other soldiers. This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.

One of the servicemen who helped the suspects hide has been detained.

"After the events in Vinnytsia region, the attackers decided to flee abroad and turned to their friends in the military for help. One of them also left the military unit in Odesa region without permission," the statement said.

The SBI said that one soldier gave Vasylaka a car to flee abroad, and the other took and handed over their passports and mobile phones.

The servicemen were served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 396 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for concealing a serious crime. In particular, the other was also served a notice of suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 407 due to the voluntary abandonment of the military unit.
