Owners of land plots located in the border areas in Kharkiv region will be able to avoid paying land tax. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
The department noted that due to the construction of fortifications in the Kharkiv region, some land plots may not be used, but they continue to be taxed.
Against this background, the Ministry of Reintegration, together with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service and the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, have developed an algorithm of actions.
“According to it, owners of plots where fortifications are located or may be located will be exempted from paying land tax,” the ministry said.
The Kharkiv Regional Defense Council and local councils are to make the relevant decisions on tax benefits.
The Regional Defense Council will approve the list of areas where fortifications are being built. This list will be passed on to local councils, which will decide on tax benefits. The decision will then be reported to the State Tax Service.
