Kosovo has officially applied for EU membership

On December 15, Kosovo applied for membership in the European Union. The official transfer of the signed documents took place in Prague. This is reported by Kosovo Press.

"We want to join the EU as soon as possible. I believe that with our commitment we will change the views of the skeptics," said Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

It is reported that today, December 15, in Prague, the Prime Minister of Kosovo delivered a statement to Pristina Mikulas Bek, Minister of European Affairs of the Czech Republic, which currently chairs the EU Council.

It should be noted that the Republic of Kosovo is recognized by most Western countries, including the United States. Five EU countries - Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine - did not recognize Kosovo's independence.
