Ukraine will be uncompromising on the way to NATO membership, - Zelenskyі

Allies do not need to look for alternatives to Ukraine joining NATO, because our state will be uncompromising on this path.

This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi during a press conference with the Polish leader Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.

"Ukraine is a warm, friendly country, but in this war, it is uncompromising in that we will not give up our land, freedom, our children, and we will not give up our independence," he said.

Zelenskyі assured that our country is just as uncompromising in friendship, and considers Poland a real friend - not just an ally, but a friend forever.

The leader of Ukraine emphasized that Polish President Andrzej Duda was just as uncompromising when he supported our country on its way to the EU. Zelenskyі noted that Ukraine received the candidacy thanks to many partners, but primarily thanks to Poland.

"I would also like to say and convey to all our partners, who are constantly looking for compromises for Ukraine on the way to NATO, that Ukraine will be uncompromising on this issue as well, and I am grateful that Poland is with us on this path," the president added.

It will be recalled that the WSJ reported that the issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO was removed from the agenda.

At the same time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba believes that the NATO summit in Vilnius is an opportunity for the Alliance to correct the mistakes of Bucharest in 2008. Yes, repeating that NATO's door remains open will not be enough for Ukraine.
