German Chancellor Olaf Scholz opposed the ban on Russian culture

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has expressed his position against the idea of banning Russian culture. In his opinion, Russian culture has an important place in the general history of Europe, Handelsblatt reports.

Scholz emphasized that artists who express support for the actions of the Russian government may not be invited to perform in Germany anyway. He also added that there is a significant number of people among the Russian population who do not share the policy of the country's leadership.

"Russian culture is part of our common European history. And it should not be simply banned," the German Chancellor emphasized.
