The start of the "Combat Brotherhood 2023" military exercises on Belarusian territory is certainly an important event that can become a potential threat to Ukraine's security, especially in relations with the participation of the Russian armed forces.

Military exercises can pose a threat to Ukraine, especially if they involve CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) countries. Such exercises may affect the geopolitical situation in the region and raise concerns about possible security implications for Ukraine.

Strengthening the vigilance and readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a reasonable step in the face of growing instability in the region. It is important that Ukraine continues to cooperate with international partners and organizations to ensure peace and stability on its territory and in the region as a whole, said Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in a Telegram message.


"Of course, we are reacting. Commanders have been given clear tasks to strengthen the defense of the state border of Ukraine and increase vigilance at all combat positions. We realize that we can expect anything from the enemy. But he must understand that we are always ready to respond," - he wrote.


According to the officer, the exercises will last until September 6, 2023.
