German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in Berlin at the International Peace Conference of the Community of St. Egidius that Ukraine does not need a "pseudo" peace that does not take into account its territorial integrity and does not respect international law, Deutsche Welle reports.
Scholz noted that Germany expresses its full support for Ukraine in its quest for a just peace based on respect for the principles of the UN Charter, as well as territorial integrity and independence.
"Law must prevail over violence, not the other way around," the Chancellor said.
He also noted that "a world without freedom is an oppression, and a world without justice is a dictatorship".
