Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to visit Washington next week and speak at the Capitol, The Washington Post reports.

His trip to the USA coincides with the UN General Assembly in New York. The visit to Capitol Hill is expected to take place on September 21.

This trip, agreed with the Joe Biden administration, is aimed at emphasizing the importance of meeting the White House's request for additional aid to Ukraine in the form of a budget allocation of more than $24 billion.

It is worth noting that this is Zelensky's second visit to Washington since the start of the full-scale war, the first was at the end of last year.
