Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has announced that the Defense Industries Forum will soon be held in the Ukrainian capital, Interfax-Ukraine reports. The event will be attended by more than 165 companies from around the world.
"In a few days, we are holding the Defense Industries Forum in Kyiv. This is our initiative, because we understand that we need to think strategically and cannot ensure the stability of supplies only through warehouses. We need to ensure it by increasing production, primarily in Ukraine. We are working together with the Minister for Strategic Industries Kamyshyn and Defense Minister Umerov to maximize synergy and results," the Foreign Minister said.
The Minister emphasized that the forum will be attended by representatives not only from Europe but also from different regions of the world.
The forum will be attended by delegates not only from Europe, but also from different parts of the world, as many see benefits in cooperation with Ukraine. Kuleba noted that joint weapons production with Ukraine will help strengthen the country, gain experience in combat use, improve weapons, and develop joint technology projects.
The minister emphasized that the forum would focus on signing contracts and building alliances.
"And here the work of the Ministry of Strategic Industries and the Ministry of Defense is key to fill it with real content. And the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, accordingly, works with each country to ensure that they delegate the maximum number of companies to participate in this forum. We are creating a "political umbrella" for the forum so that companies can see that what they plan to do together with Ukraine enjoys the political support of their governments, as well as the EU and NATO," Kuleba emphasized.
