Russian troops want to capture the city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region. Fighting continues in the settlements of Ivanivske and Bohdanivka. Illia Yevlash, spokesman for the Eastern Military Group, said this during a telethon.

"The enemy is advancing in the Bakhmut direction, moving in the area of Ivanivske and Bohdanivka. The enemy is already fighting within the city. It is actively pulling up reserves and heavy equipment there. It is also conducting strikes with drones," he noted.

Yevlash added that Ukrainian forces are holding back the enemy's offensive.

According to the speaker, fortifications and several defense circles have been built near Chasiv Yar. Minefields, both anti-tank and anti-personnel, have also been set up in threatened directions.
