Impossibility of agreements with Russia in spring of 2022: Podolyak argues

Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the OP, commented on the possibility of reaching an agreement with Moscow in the spring of 2022. He gave a number of arguments why there were no options for a "peace deal". This was reported on his Telegram channel.

Podolyak suggested using logic and reassessing the known facts.

He noted that Russia had entered our country on a large scale and killed citizens en masse, aiming to seize territories, reformat the state, and carry out direct and indirect occupation.

The Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President emphasized that at the first and subsequent stages of negotiations (Belarus/Turkey), Russia ultimately demanded that the already occupied territories be given back to it and legally renounced.

"...To give up its subjectivity (not joining alliances, giving up cultural and informational identity), giving up its own army. These conditions were unchanged. Where can we read an offer of "peace" rather than unconditional surrender?" Podolyak said.

He also noted that after the tactical defeats in the northern regions of Ukraine and the escape from the Kyiv region, massive facts of Russia's genocidal practices and its true intentions in Ukraine were revealed. This made any contacts with Russia completely impossible.
