Canada allocated $1.5 billion to Ukraine: the money will be used for social programs to help Ukrainians

Canada has provided financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $1.5 billion. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.


"Important funds that will help our government finance the deficit, in particular, social programs to help Ukrainians," Shmyhal wrote.


He noted that the total amount of financial support from Canada since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion is about 7 billion Canadian dollars.


"We are grateful to the Canadian people and government, who remain our reliable allies in these difficult times," the Prime Minister summarized.
