Zelensky criticized Trump's plan for Ukraine and spoke about negotiations with Putin: details

If Donald Trump's peace plan for the war in Ukraine is just to hand over some territory to Russia, it is a very primitive idea. When it comes to human lives, Ukraine cannot take any risks. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Bild.

"If the point is that we will simply give up our territories, and if this is the idea, then this is a very primitive idea," Zelensky said.

According to him, if Trump really has his own approach to quickly end the war, he would be happy to listen to his idea.

"We need strong arguments. We need not a fantastic idea, but a real one. It's about human lives, we cannot joke and we cannot take risks," the head of state added.

Zelensky also spoke about negotiations with Russia.

"We are dealing with Putin here. Everything he has said so far, he has acted differently afterwards. We cannot trust him... We can agree on everything, but the question is whether he will stick to it," the head of state emphasized.

Zelensky also spoke about the freezing of the war. According to him, Putin is using the war freeze only to prepare for a new attack.

"Of course, some will be happy. The world will say: "Yes, we managed to freeze the conflict, the missiles are not flying." But this is only until Russia increases production and stocks of military equipment, missiles, drones, and analyzes all the mistakes it made in the beginning," the president said.
