Kuleba: After Ukraine and Georgia join NATO, the Black Sea will become a security region

After Ukraine and Georgia join NATO, the Black Sea should become a sea of the North Atlantic Alliance, like the Baltic Sea. This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during the Second Black Sea Security Conference of the International Crimean Platform.

"It is important to have a vision and strategy, to show perseverance in joint actions to achieve common goals. The Black Sea should become a sea of NATO, peace and stability. This is exactly what the Baltic Sea became when Finland and Sweden joined the Alliance. The security of the entire region has been strengthened," Kuleba said.

The minister noted that after Ukraine and Georgia joined NATO, the Black Sea will follow the example of the Baltic Sea. He called this a strategic goal that the Alliance and the Euro-Atlantic community should strive for.
