US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has criticized Republicans in Congress who are blocking the extension of aid to Ukraine. She believes that the delay in this matter cannot be forgiven. This was reported by Yellen, as quoted by Tagesschau.

The US Treasury Secretary made the corresponding statement after a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Yellen sharply criticized Republicans who are blocking decisions on Ukraine.

"The inability of House Republicans to support Ukraine for so long at this crucial moment in the war is unforgivable, and it harms our national security," she said.

Shmyhal, in turn, noted that continued US assistance to Ukraine is important, especially given Russia's attempts to undermine the Ukrainian economy.

"We count on the United States will continue to support Ukraine in its struggle," he said.
