US Senate voted for financial aid to Ukraine

The US Senate voted to approve additional funding for allies: Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan in the amount of $95.3 billion. This was announced at a meeting of the Upper House of Congress on April 24, which was broadcast online.

79 congressmen voted in favor of the bill, while 17 voted against it.

Thus, both houses of Congress approved the aid to the allies, and now President Joe Biden has to sign the document.

The White House has already reported that the president is ready to sign it in the near future to start sending weapons to Ukraine as soon as possible.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the representatives of the US Senate who voted in favor of the aid today.

The head of state said that this aid is "vital" and this vote "strengthens America's role as a beacon of democracy and leader of the free world."
