World-famous artist Maryna Abramovich presented in Babyn Yar installation «Crystal Wailing Wall», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the tragedy. This was reported by the website of the Babin Yar Memorial Center.

The Crystal Wailing Wall, which is 40 meters long and 3 meters high, has become one of the largest art objects in Europe built in the last decade. Ukrainian anthracite coal and quartz crystals from Brazil were used to create the installation. At the same time, up to 40 people can be present at the facility.

During the official opening ceremony on October 6, the presidents of Ukraine, Israel and Germany, Volodymyr Zelensky, Yitzhak Herzog and Frank-Walter Steinmeier, made speeches.

The installation was commissioned by the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center, a private project.
