As of November 15, no deaths have been reported in Ukraine as a result of vaccination against the coronavirus. Of more than 12 million vaccinated people, 124 died within 30 days of the procedure, but no link between vaccination and death was found.
Igor Kuzin, the state sanitary doctor, told about it.
He assured that Ukraine now has a fairly effective system of pharmacological surveillance of adverse events after immunization (NAPI).
"Somewhere around 0.018% of patients from the total number of vaccinated have STDs. The vast majority are non-serious cases. There were 124 fatal cases within 30 days of immunization," Kuzin said.
He noted that these are fatal cases after vaccination, not as a consequence. "All completed investigations have found no connection with vaccination," the official noted.
Note that the NPPIs include all "adverse" cases within 30 days of the COVID-19 vaccination. They are not necessarily related to the vaccination itself. For example, the list may even include information about an accident after vaccination.
According to Kuzin, currently, adverse events after using CoronaVac have been recorded in about 0.08% of cases. All other vaccines have the same indicator ranging from 0.01% to 0.02%.
