Prices for antibiotics in November compared with their prices during the same month last year have increased. Prices for domestic antipyretics and analgesics have increased significantly, as well as prices for imported drugs of this category. This is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Committee, writes UNN.

In November 2020 the price of domestic antibiotics was UAH 18.43 per 10 pills/capsules, and in November this year they cost UAH 20.23 per 10 pills/capsules, which means a price increase of 9.8%. Imported antibiotics in November cost 114.69 UAH per 10 pills, while in November 2020 they cost 112.34 UAH per 10 pills (+2.1%).

Domestic antipyretics and analgesics cost UAH 12.45 per 10 tablets in November, and UAH 10.68 per 10 tablets in November 2020 (+16.6%). Imported antipyretics and analgesics cost UAH 19.10 per sachet in November and UAH 18.29 per sachet in November 2020 (+4.4%).

At the same time for a month (November vs. October this year) the prices for domestic antibiotics rose by 1.5%, imported antibiotics rose by 1.4%, domestic antipyretics and analgesics rose by almost 3% and imported antipyretics and analgesics rose by 2%.

Meanwhile, in June the WHO expressed concern about the growing resistance of pathogenic microbes to antibiotics.
