No direct talks with the separatists have not been and will not be - Ermak

The Ukrainian side will not negotiate directly with the separatists. The day before in the German press there was information about the alleged presence of such an issue on the agenda of the negotiations of the "Normandy advisers" in Paris.

This in a comment to RBC-Ukraine said the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak. It is he who will represent the Ukrainian side at the negotiations in Paris.

"The position of Ukraine, which has been expressed many times at different levels, is unchanged, it meets Ukrainian interests. There have not been and will not be any direct negotiations with the separatists. And such fabrications appear thanks to manipulators, who have tried many times to make "zrada" on an even place... Let those who participate in the creation of these fakes today draw red lines on their foreheads, while we have them, as well as the Ukrainian interests, embedded in our subcortex," he said.

According to Yermak, there is currently no specific agenda for the meeting of the "Normandy advisors". The Ukrainian side, he said, plans to discuss the resumption of the ceasefire, humanitarian issues, the opening of crossing points, as well as future work in the Normandy format.

"Unlike some politicians, we do not do business or negotiate with the separatists and never will," the head of the OP added.

He noted that only the leaders of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia have the right to approve any documents in the Normandy format. Meetings of advisors and ministers in this format are exclusively consultative in nature.

"Any insinuations or manipulations are insinuations and manipulations of people interested in disrupting the negotiations," the head of the Presidential Office stressed.

Yermak added that in recent days there were very contradictory statements from German politicians, which have already been assessed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian version of the Deutsche Welle published information from sources of the German agency dpa that at the talks of the Normandy quartet advisors in Paris allegedly want to agree a date for direct negotiations of the Ukrainian authorities with the militants in Donbas. This information was allegedly received by dpa from sources in the Elysee Palace.
