Ukraine urged its citizens to leave Russia immediately

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens of Ukraine refrain from any trips to the Russian Federation. Ukrainians in Russia were urged to immediately leave its territory. The Foreign Ministry released the relevant recommendations on Wednesday.

"In connection with the intensification of Russian aggression against Ukraine, which, among other things, can lead to a significant limitation of consular assistance in the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Ukrainian citizens refrain from any trips to the Russian Federation, and that those who are in this country immediately leave its territory," the statement said.

The Foreign Ministry notes that neglecting these recommendations will significantly complicate the provision of adequate protection of Ukrainian citizens in the Russian Federation.

In case of circumstances requiring an immediate consular response, the Foreign Ministry provided contact details of Ukraine's foreign diplomatic institutions on the territory of the Russian Federation.
